The Wellington Heads make music stretching from 1920s jazz spiced with New Orleans gumbo through to blue tinged originals. Based around a nucleus of Neil Worboys (vocals, harp, guitar, mandolin, ukulele), Geoff Keith (basses, vocals), Bill Wood (guitars, vocals), they perform in local cafes, at weddings, bar mitzvahs, funerals and in other small intimate settings. When combined with the Barrett Reef Rhythm & Brass section - Mike Taylor (trumpet) Damien Furlong (trombone) and Justin Hooper (drums) - they have performed in larger concert venues. Combined with contemporary influences, and blended with Pacific flavours, they produce music that is relaxed, yet fresh and innovative.
